I have added a link to a full page image of the East Valley Tribune
Flag Contest Page.
This was published on Tuesday Feb. 8th 2005. Rebekah came in fourth
place in a city wide contest to design a flag for our city. The only
child to place in the contest, she was beat by a retired areospace
engineer, design consultant for an art business, and a retired school
teacher. Way to go Rebekah !!!
Since it is a large (LARGE!!!) file I am putting in a link to the
contest page by itself.

City Flag Contest Winners
Thanks to Paul Giblin, columnist for hosting this contest!

She also enjoys painting, on any thing she can. Here we
have wood, canvas, an old skateboard and a toilet seat cover. Most are
done with acrylics.

Some of these were done when she was younger
She also writes.
In 2004, she won
the school district writing contest ( the district is about 80,000
students), essay division for her age group. Her essay was published in
the yearly book.
She also came in second in her age group, in a National
Writing contest sponsored by SOS Children's Villages.

Her alter ego has been a Girlscout since Kindergarden
