Camping Trip
July 21-23 2006
A trip like this is much more then a weekend away from the heat.
It is a chance to see what really means something in life.
From the fresh blowing wind, taking you to somewhere in another dimension, to the smell of the trees, and the sounds of the crickets and the birds, seeing the stars at night and feeling sprinkling of raindrops of your skin.
All come together to give you a realization that there is something bigger and better then all of this. It is like a rejuvenation of the body and the soul.
We not only camped, we also hiked quite a distance, in search of a water fall.
The hiking and swimming pictures were taken at different places along the East Verde. The waterfall pictures were taken about 7 miles off of Beeline highway to the East. The place is called Water Wheel.
This is a very beautiful place, there are no words to express it. The pictures can not do it justice, but I have put many on these pages.
I have also put a seperate page of different trees that I found that were each interesting in their own way.
The whole area holds secrets of the past, you can see it in the trees, and the rock walls, with layers of different color rock, each telling a different story. From a different time, a whole different world.
I think the peacefulness and the freshness of it all, is what I enjoyed the most.
But, beware of the wildlife....

After all, it is bear country
I hope these pictures can begin to tell part of the beauty of the area...
