Swimming holes around Payson



These pictures were taken at several different places around Payson.
Some were a very long hike from the road, some are right next to the road.


This swimming hole is quiet a hike to get to, but a very beautiful place.
Some of the waterfall pictures were alsso taken here. (and yes, they do jump off the rocks.)


Technically not swimming, but this was taken at a swimming hole. Another beautiful place.


This is a what is referred to, at least around here, as a water fall. This place requires a long hike also.


This swimmming hole is on the west side of Beeline (highway 87)
North of Payson, just before the East Verde bridge.


Just off of Houston Mesa Road, at the Water Wheel recreation site.


This is right before a huge storm hit, with thunder,lightning and rain.

You can sort of see the raindrops on the water.





In this one you can see clearly that it is raining.
