

This isn't a tree, but is a very interesting plant. This was near the Water Wheel
recreation site, a little hike from Houston Mesa Road.

This wonderful old tree is huge. The roots have long ago been exposesd by
erosion. The water level here now is barely a trickle, but the trees show
it used to be very high. This was along found while hiking.

Yes, this is one tree with a "window" all the way through it.

These trees are closer to the water, and greener.
This was taken while it was raining.

Some more cool looking roots, above ground.

Another history lesson...roots here are also exposed. This tree is not near the water.

I just love these trees..
not to mention the whole picture.

There appears to be some sort of old bee hive in the top of this tree.

Just another cool tree.
